Shri Rupani launches the state wide polio vaccination campaign
The sensitive and humble Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani launched the state-wide Polio Vaccination campaign at the Community Hall of Ministerial Residential Complex in Gandhinagar.
The sensitive and humble Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani launched the state-wide Polio Vaccination campaign at the Community Hall of Ministerial Residential Complex in Gandhinagar. Due to the dedicated efforts of the state government under the dynamic leadership of Shri Rupani, the state has not registered a single case of polio in the last ten years. The CM urged the parents to vaccinate their children. This year, more than 85 lakh children under this campaign will be provided the polio drops. There will be as many as 37,503 booths and 7501 supervision teams with 1.71 lakh employees to ensure the effectiveness of the program. Apart from this, the CM has also ensured to send around 3549 mobile teams in the interior and coastal areas to administer the polio-vaccination campaign.
The Chief Minister also spoke about the 5th round of ‘Saghan Mission Indradhanush’, which is being directly monitored by the Prime Minister’s Office, under which pregnant mothers and children up to the age of two years would be covered between March 18 and 24, 2018. This program was launched by Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi from his native place ‘Vadnagar’ on October 8. In the previous four rounds of the mission 195,600 children and 43,327 pregnant mothers were cover.
